Elizabeth runs creative writing workshops in English for children ages 7-11 and 12-16. The cost of the workshop includes a journal for each student, writing utensil, and instruction. Workshops can be run in one day or multiple days. The longer the course, the more in-depth the instruction will be on the writing process.
In general, a class is designed to teach students about story structure and the development of a character and how a character must solve a problem and create change from the beginning of the story to the end. Workshops include age-appropriate read alouds as model texts, instruction time, writing time and feedback to students (if time allows).
While the classes are taught in English, students can write their stories in their home language as long as they can understand English as an instructional language. Students must be able to write independently.
